Job summary

Enphase Energy is seeking a Staff Compliance Engineer to join our ISO 17025 accredited lab team in New Zealand. You will assess standards, guide the engineering group, define and execute compliance tests, and prepare high-quality reports for Enphase products.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical/compliance areas, with Medium Voltage knowledge. You will work hands-on with advanced test equipment to ensure products meet international standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic engineering principles.
  • Medium Voltage knowledge.
  • At least 5+ years of recent experience in compliance/homologation, product design or development, or testing of complex electronic products.
  • Experience with photovoltaic systems, energy storage devices, or power electronics is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UL 1741, IEC/UL 61010-1, IEC/UL 62109-1, Other applicable standards.
  • Ability to work with Local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (LAHJ) or regulatory bodies is a plus.

  • Analyzing global standards to define product requirements and create test plans
  • Perform compliance testing in ISO 17025 accredited lab, applying detailed knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with Nationally Recognized Testing Labs (NRTLs) to coordinate regulatory testing activities
  • Support regulatory approval processes by demonstrating product compliance with applicable standards
  • Lead efforts to obtain and maintain self-certification status for our products
  • Contribute to team objectives by assisting with related tasks as needed

About the role

As a Staff Compliance Engineer, you will be part of our Compliance team, working in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assessing relevant standards, providing guidance to the engineering team, defining and executing compliance tests, and preparing high-quality reports for all Enphase products. If you have 5+ years' experience in the electrical or electronic industry with Medium Voltage knowledge and enjoy working with analytical data, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll work hands-on with advanced test equipment to perform compliance tests, ensuring our products meet international compliance standards.
