Job description

Position Overview

The Associate Software Testing Engineer conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. The role is expected to create drafts, to make revises and to prepare test scripts and test data based on the application/system requirements. This role requires being well versed with various test design techniques and ensures appropriate test coverage for meeting the end user requirements. This role also requires to ensure new software meets expected requirements before release to users.

This role also covers taking pride in delivering quality service to internal stakeholders and is meticulous in conducting tests to ensure software quality requirements are met. Another part of the role reponsibility, is to be able to anticipate problems in the software testing life cycle, and develop and articulate innovative and effective solutions to address them and prevent re-occurrence.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work closely with Software Quality Engineer/Manager to understand the Performance Testing requirements
• Evaluate application architectures and design performance test plans
• Establish performance test objectives, acceptance criteria, workload profiles and use case scenarios
• Measure and analyze performance data (workload, system and application)
• Solve complex problems and provide clear and concise reports with recommendations

Requirements

• Must have Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or other related courses
• At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end performance testing lifecycle and methodology
• Knowledge in C programing and Core Java
• In-depth knowledge and experience working with Micro-focus LoadRunner enterprise and LoadRunner Cloud
• Experience in mobile performance testing in Android and iOS devices
• Good understanding in Mobile automation and how to use ADB command and Xcode project structure/simulators
• Experience in defining test metrics, conducting analysis and result reporting
• Experience in using performance monitors like Dynatrace, Cloudwatch, Prometheus and APM
• Experience in test automation tools like Katalon or selenium is advantage
• Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills and be able to work independently
