Overview

Sponsorship & Advertising Account Manager – We are looking for our next Sponsorship & Advertising Account Manager to work as part of our New Zealand team.

In this role, you will be responsible for advertising and sponsorship sales for our Australia and New Zealand media portfolio across Thomson Reuters’ ANZ business. This includes renewal, upselling, and cross-selling of existing customer accounts; new business development and new sales creation, maintaining and contributing to a strong customer experience along with the rest of the team members. Ultimately the role is responsible for retention of existing customers and identification of new customers to maximize sales of sponsorship, advertising and subscriptions.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Sponsorship & Advertising Account Manager you will:

  • End to end management of the sales/ relationship cycle for sponsors, partners, and advertisers
  • Build and maintain client relationships, working closely with stakeholders throughout the sales cycle and on a regular basis.
  • Prospect for new business and grow new customer sales Reuters and work on pitch for new logos
  • Devise sales and activation plans for each client and sponsor/partner agreement
  • Create additional value opportunities for key accounts and sponsors/partners
  • Make contact with advertisers/sponsor/partners on a regular basis (video conference, audio calls and face to face)
  • Undertake research into potential advertisers/sponsors, including competitor analysis
About You

You’re a fit for the role of Sponsorship & Advertising Account Manager if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred but not essential
  • Minimum five years’ experience in event sponsorship and/or advertising sales preferred
  • Exposure to Thomson Reuters’ markets would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a customer-obsessed culture essential
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including understanding the administrative function of sales
