Job summary

Kumaravine - Celebrating Māori & Pasifika success in Auckland is seeking a Speech Language Therapist to join our Learning Support team. You will assess and support children and young people with communication needs within home, school, and community settings, working closely with families, teachers and other specialists.

We value Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and a trans-disciplinary approach, with responsibilities including translating theory into practice and coordinating multi-agency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy or equivalent.
• Specialist knowledge of theory, research and practice related to speech-language development.
• Ability to translate specialist knowledge into practical information.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support children and young people with communication needs in home, school, and community contexts.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers and other specialists to support speech, language and communication skills.
• Work within a trans-disciplinary team to address complex needs.
• Coordinate service provision in a multi-agency setting to improve student outcomes.
