Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Kapiti Coast is seeking a part-time Speech Language Therapist to deliver community assessments and home-based interventions. The role includes working with older adults facing swallowing and communication difficulties and requires involvement in videofluoroscopy when necessary.
You will join a friendly Kapiti ORA team, work across outpatient clinics and home visits, and collaborate with primary and secondary care colleagues to achieve patient-centred outcomes.
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.5FTE / 20 hours per week)

Would you like to join a friendly health-care team delivering community assessment and intervention to people in their homes? The Kapiti Older Adult, Rehabilitation and Allied Health Service has a vacancy for a full-time Speech Language therapist. The role receives referrals from primary and secondary health services. This role involves both Outpatient clinic and home visits. Knowledge and experience of swallowing and communication difficulties at all stages is required. Your caseload will include people with swallowing/communication difficulties post-stroke, and a range of degenerative, neurological conditions such as Parkinsons disease. From time to time, you will be required to attend videofluoroscopy appointments in Wellington.
The Kapiti ORA team is a friendly and supportive group. We are mostly based in the Kapiti Health Centre in sunny Paraparaumu. Close to the beach and located centrally it's a convenient location for public transport, shops and local services.
