About the Role

We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic Speech Language Therapist to join our team at Whangarei Hospital. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across the hospital, utilise your professional knowledge and skills to provide a quality service to the designated inpatients attending Whangarei Hospital.

The hours of work are between 8am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. There will be a requirement to work on a shared on call roster to cover public holidays (approx. 1-2 per year). Travel throughout Northland to the Rural Hospitals may be required occasionally.

About you

As a Speech Language Therapist, you must have the ability to work autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary team and be able to establish and maintain working relationships between staff and clients.

  • Hold a relevant qualification and is recognised by the NZ Speech Language Therapists Association (NZSTA)
  • Current NZSTA membership and a holder of a current practicing certificate
  • Aware of Speech Language Therapy theory and principles of practice
  • Current and full NZ Drivers Licence
  • Experience is preferred for this position; however, we encourage all to apply.
