At Pukekohe Intermediate School we call our specialist subjects “The HUB”, reflecting practical hands-on learning from across three curriculum areas including the arts, science and technology.
We are seeking a dynamic leader to lead a team of five specialist teachers.
The applicant needs to be an "action" person with a clear vision of creating an environment for our ako that fosters creativity, innovation, problem solving and designers.
We want our new leader to challenge traditional ways of teaching in this space and create learning for students that prepares them for the future. The design for learning programmes needs to reflect our diverse cultures.
The successful applicant will be expected to drive new curriculum changes and work collaboratively within our leadership team.
The units will be attached to a Scale A teaching position with the exact subject in the HUB team yet to be determined, depending on the skillset of applicants.
