Job Description – The planning and scheduling team’s primary purpose is to ensure all work is fully scoped and resourced in the CMMS and provide the execution team with an achievable plan that has been confirmed with all stakeholders and has the necessary materials, resources and services confirmed. The planning and scheduling team is supported by the engineering team, which ensures the site does the right work over a 1-to-5-year horizon.

Responsibilities
  • Setting the direction for Asset Management (AM) and aligning and motivating all stakeholders to contribute to the site business strategy, and monitoring and controlling performance, risk and cost.
  • Developing the internal capability and competencies to excel in AM along with a strong culture.
  • Developing and optimising the operational and maintenance strategies, tactics, and budgets for all assets.
  • Delivering new or modified assets in line with the AM strategic plan and asset lifecycle plans.
  • Ensuring delivery of spares and materials in full and on-time every time.
  • Measuring and evaluating operating performance and variances based on an agreed time usage measurements.
  • Eliminating causes or defects and operating losses based on an agreed trigger action response plan and effective root cause analysis and corrective action close out.
  • Managing maintenance-related activities on all assets effectively and efficiently with emphasis on maintenance execution quality including KPIs and reporting.
  • Optimising and delivering shutdowns and overhauls to required quality to restore / sustain asset reliability, within approved budgets and schedules.
  • Decommissioning and disposing of redundant assets and obsolete materials.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of safety are maintained at all times.
Qualifications
  • Relevant Engineering Degree Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ production (heavy industrial plant) maintenance experience, including maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Previous planning experience in a continuous production/process plant environment.
  • Experience of fixed equipment, crushing, grinding, milling plant, rotating equipment and pressure vessels.
