Job summary

The position runs across several fixed date blocks in 2026 with an ongoing vacancy starting 24 October 2026, offering weekday shifts from 08:30 to 16:30/17:00 with no on-call component.

• Experience in adult psychiatry inpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatry care for adult inpatients in the unit.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to manage patients.
• Assist with admission and discharge planning and mult-disciplinary rounds.

Position Details:

• Shift times: 0830 - 1630/1700 | Monday - Friday
• No on call component.
• Psychiatry - Adult Inpatients.
• Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit (working alongside 3 experienced registrars, 1 house officer, 4 senior nurses, 25 beds shared with another SMO, roughly 12 patients max)
