Job summary

MedRecruit Limited is seeking a locum for a small 110-bed acute care hospital serving the East Coast population (approx. 47,000). The role runs from 24 August to 24 November 2026, with part-time options considered and travel and accommodation provided.

You will work within a supportive team that includes SMOs and House Officers, overseeing medical admissions and management. The East Coast region offers a warm climate, beaches, wineries, and a range of outdoor activities, with a vibrant economy

This small 110-bed acute care hospital serves the East Coast population, approx. 47,000.

You will enjoy working in a supportive, team environment with highly qualified SMO’s and House Officer’s, and have oversight of medical admissions and management (unselected medical take), giving you exposure to a wide range of medical presentations and procedures, along with many educational opportunities. The medical department is supported locally by comprehensive surgical services, along with modern diagnostic facilities including a new MRI scanner and CT scanner.

The official ‘East Coast’ region is beautiful and unexplored by many. There's a warm sunny climate, golden beaches (great for surfing), and many outdoor activities available for you to explore. The vibrant local economy is based on wineries, agriculture, and tourism, along with our city which has plenty to offer in the way of cafés, restaurants, and shopping. Plenty for you to do outside of work.
