Job summary

Millennium Services Group is looking for a motivated Specialist Cleaner in Auckland. This full-time night shift role (Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm–6:30am) offers training across specialist floor care, carpet and upholstery cleaning, water blasting, glass cleaning and commercial cleaning equipment.

You’ll perform a wide range of detailed and technical cleaning tasks, using equipment safely and delivering high standards for clients. NZ driver licence and flexibility for extra hours are important.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial cleaning experience, preferably within specialist cleaning.
• A full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Experience operating floor-care machinery or a willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual approach to work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety.

The Role

Millennium has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable Specialist Cleaner to join our Auckland team, based in Auckland.

This is a full-time position paying $30.50 per hour, offering the opportunity to move beyond general cleaning and develop experience across specialist floor care, carpet and upholstery cleaning, water blasting, glass cleaning and commercial cleaning equipment.

Full-time, consistent night-shift hours Sunday to Thursday – 10:00pm–6:30am

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Specialist Cleaner, you'll be involved in a wide range of detailed and technical cleaning work, including:

• Carpet and upholstery cleaning
• Specialist hard-floor cleaning and maintenance
• Water blasting and pressure cleaning
• Internal and external glass cleaning
• Operating commercial equipment including scrubbers, buffers and sweepers
• Detailed and periodic cleaning projects
• Spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping and other cleaning duties where required
• Supporting sites with specialist and project work
• Using equipment and chemicals safely and correctly
• Delivering consistently high standards for our clients

About You

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable and takes real pride in the quality of their work.

You Will Ideally Have

• Previous commercial cleaning experience, preferably within specialist cleaning
• A full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Experience operating floor-care machinery or a willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
• Confidence working independently as well as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to follow instructions and manage your workload effectively
• A good understanding of workplace health and safety
• Flexibility to work additional hours and public holidays when required
• EWP (Elevated Work Platform) and Working at Heights certifications are advantageous, but not essential
• Valid working rights in New Zealand
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old in line with workplace health and safety requirements
