Job summary

Kristin School on Auckland’s North Shore seeks an inspiring Kaiako to join its Language faculty as a Spanish teacher for 2027. This full-time fixed-term role starts 20 January 2027 and ends 10 December 2027, with a strong emphasis on student-centred practice and IB curriculum integration where applicable.

The successful candidate will be NZ registered, bring experience teaching Spanish to Years 7–15/wharekura, and engage in ongoing professional development with a supportive faculty.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered teacher available from January 2027.
• Experienced Spanish teacher with secondary/wharekura exposure.
• Interest in innovative student practices and caring for students.
• IB curriculum experience is an advantage; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura students.
• Deliver engaging language lessons and assess learning progress.
• Contribute to professional development and collaborate with faculty.

We seek an inspiring Kaiako to join our well-resourced Language faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Spanish Teacher who is looking to join an outstanding educational institute and passionate faculty which values and enables quality teaching and learning. This is a fixed-term position for 2027.

This role requires:

• NZ Registered teacher who is available from January 2027
• Experienced Spanish teacher
• Passion for innovative student practices and caring for students as individuals
• Experience in the International Baccalaureate programme would be an advantage, however training in the curriculum will be provided
