Job summary

Dawn Aerospace in Christchurch, New Zealand, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to prepare, maintain, inspect, and operate the Mk-II Aurora spaceplane and its ground systems. This hands-on role focuses on hardware work and contributing to a new generation of aerospace operations.

You will join the Flight Operations team, follow procedures, keep accurate logs, and help improve maintenance processes as flight frequency increases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on aircraft/space system maintenance or assembly experience.
• Ability to follow procedures and identify improvements.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-flight and post-flight tasks, maintenance, and ground ops.
• Inspect, service, and recover systems; address issues in a timely manner.
• Follow checklists and safety controls during flight test operations.
• Record activities in logs and support maintenance manuals development.
• Collaborate with design engineers to refine procedures and tasks.
