Rocket Lab in Auckland is hiring a Software Build and Automation Engineer to own CI/CD pipelines for flight software, spacecraft, operations, and production software. You’ll build, test, and deliver reliable software enablement across teams.

Collaborating with avionics, operations, and IT, you’ll automate manual processes, maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments, and write clear documentation to keep our pipelines fast and robust.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software development focused on build, CI, and deployment.
• Experience with compiled languages such as C# or C++.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux and Windows system administration.
• Experience with a build system like TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI or TFS CI.
• Experience with build tooling such as make, cmake or automake.
• Experience building and deploying embedded and desktop software.
• Familiarity with Jira, Redmine or another issue tracker.

Responsabilités

• Build, document, and support CI/CD pipelines behind flight vehicle, spacecraft, operations, and production software.
• Support the infrastructure used for stack-test and launch operations.
• Automate manual processes for software teams and beyond.
• Maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments and coordinate with IT on infrastructure needs.
• Write and maintain software supporting test and mission operations.
• Document, review code, size tickets, and work within an agile team.
