Located on the beautiful Tekapo lakefront, our cutting-edge Astronomy Centre brings the science of stars to life with an immersive, international experience that complements our other outdoor activities for domestic and international guests.

As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver exceptional meals that exceed guest expectations. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, where you'll be part of a passionate team committed to culinary excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing kitchen production, ensuring quality and consistency with every dish.
  • Support menu planning, costing, and supplier orders in collaboration with the Head Chef.
  • Oversee production, stock management, and kitchen operations.
  • Mentor and develop junior kitchen staff, identifying training needs and growth potential.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Lead by example, fostering a fun and productive atmosphere for the whole team.
What We're Looking For
  • Recent experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
