Job summary

The a2 Milk Company is seeking a hands-on Sourcing Coordinator to support Direct Materials and Indirect Spend within the Strategic Sourcing team in our Auckland CBD office. You will work with Sourcing Managers to drive procurement processes, deliver data insights, and support commercial decisions.

This role offers growth toward category ownership and exposure to RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, with a focus on spend and supplier data management within our ERP ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or commercial support.
• Experience supporting RFI, RFQ, RFP or tender processes.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills, with Power BI experience advantageous.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems and supplier data management.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset and interest in developing towards category ownership.
• FMCG, food manufacturing or dairy experience and MCIPS would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate supplier master data, pricing, contracts and procurement records across ERP systems.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Sourcing and based in our Auckland CBD office, you will play an important role in supporting our Strategic Sourcing team across both Direct Materials and Indirect Spend.

This is a hands-on role that combines sourcing coordination, procurement administration, data analysis and supplier management. You’ll work closely with our Sourcing Managers to support sourcing projects, maintain strong procurement processes and provide the data and insights needed to make informed commercial decisions.

Importantly, this role also provides an opportunity to grow into greater sourcing and category ownership. As you build your knowledge of our business, suppliers and categories, there will be scope to take ownership of selected lower-spend categories and lead sourcing activity through to delivery.

More specifically, you will be involved in:

• Coordinating RFI, RFQ, RFP and tender processes, including supplier communications, documentation, evaluations and follow-up.
• Supporting sourcing projects across Direct Materials and Indirect Spend, working closely with the Sourcing Managers and key stakeholders.
• Conducting spend, supplier, pricing and market analysis to identify opportunities and support sourcing decisions.
• Preparing sourcing, savings, supplier performance and procurement reports, dashboards and analysis.
• Maintaining accurate supplier master data, pricing, contracts and procurement records across our ERP and procurement systems.
• Supporting supplier onboarding, qualification, compliance and performance management activities.
• Tracking commodity indices, market trends and supplier pricing to support sourcing and commercial decisions.
• Supporting procurement governance, policy compliance, audit readiness and process controls.
• Contributing to process improvement and data quality initiatives across the Strategic Sourcing function.
• Over time, taking ownership of selected lower-spend categories, developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships and delivering commercial outcomes.

You’ll bring:
