Job summary

Pacific Radiology in Dunedin is seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform high quality ultrasound examinations for our patients and referrers. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, accurate imaging, and adherence to established imaging protocols, within a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

You will be registered with NZ MRTB and hold a current annual practicing certificate, with opportunities for professional development and relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a sonographer with knowledge of techniques and practices.
  • NZ MRTB registration and current annual practicing certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with patients and health professionals.
  • Be driven and able to work within a multi-disciplinary team and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting and interpreting ultrasound patient examinations to a high standard and diligence
  • Consistently acting with consideration and compassion to all patients
  • Diagnostic imaging of a high quality and in line with published imaging protocols
  • Recording information in the relevant Radiology Information System
  • Ensuring the quality philosophies of Pacific Radiology are integrated throughout your practice

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience as a sonographer and a sound knowledge of techniques and practices
  • If currently in New Zealand registered with the New Zealand MRTB and hold a current annual practicing certificate
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a wide range of people including our patients and their family/whanau as well as other health care professionals and providers
  • Be driven and able to work within a multi-disciplinary team and independently
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Continuous improvement focus, and collaborative mindset to deliver better outcomes.
