Job summary

Fusion5, a leading Transformation Partner in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a commercially sharp Solution Architect to lead Dynamics 365 Business Central engagements in New Zealand. You will shape BC solution strategy, influence high‑level engagements, and act as a trusted advisor to customers at executive levels.

This role requires deep BC knowledge across Core Finance, Inventory, Projects, and Manufacturing, plus strong Microsoft stack experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in solution strategy or solution architecture within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ecosystem.
• Deep functional understanding of Business Central across Finance, Inventory, Projects, Warehousing/Distribution, Manufacturing, and Reporting.
• End-to-end lifecycle experience from discovery to executive presentations and proposal development.
• Strong familiarity with the broader Microsoft stack — Azure, Power Platform, Copilot, and integration tooling.
• Strong commercial acumen, including RFP/RFI responses, business case development, pricing inputs, and deal shaping.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills for both technical teams and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead BC customer engagements, shaping solution strategy and aligning approaches to objectives and commercial outcomes.
• Facilitate and deliver discovery sessions, workshops, and presentations with business and technical stakeholders to define needs and success criteria.
• Design end-to-end BC solution models spanning Core Finance, Inventory, Projects, Warehousing, Manufacturing, and Reporting.
• Architect scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions aligned to Microsoft best practice, leveraging Azure, Power Platform, and Copilot where relevant.
• Collaborate across Sales, Architecture, and Delivery to ensure alignment between solution strategy and delivery capability.
• Embed AI, automation, and data-driven thinking—particularly through Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform— to enhance value.
• Build and maintain reusable assets to drive consistency and speed across BC engagements.
• Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities within the Microsoft ecosystem and evolve Fusion5's BC offerings.

What you'll do

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that demands strategic thinking, commercial confidence, and the ability to operate across both the detail and the big picture. As our Solution Architect you will:

• Own and lead BC customer engagements, shaping solution strategy and aligning approaches to customer objectives and commercial outcomes
• Facilitate and deliver discovery sessions, workshops, and presentations with business and technical stakeholders to define needs and success criteria
• Design end-to-end BC solution models — spanning Core Finance, Inventory, Projects, Warehousing, Manufacturing, and Reporting — tailored to each customer's environment
• Architect scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions aligned to Microsoft best practice, leveraging the broader Microsoft stack including Azure, Power Platform, and Copilot where relevant
• Collaborate across Sales, Architecture, and Delivery to ensure alignment between solution strategy and delivery capability
• Embed AI, automation, and data-driven thinking — particularly through Microsoft Copilot and the Power Platform — to enhance efficiency and customer value
• Build and maintain reusable assets — frameworks, templates, and accelerators — to drive consistency and speed across BC engagements
• Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities within the Microsoft ecosystem and contribute to the evolution of Fusion5's BC service offerings

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in solution strategy or solution architecture within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ecosystem
• Deep functional understanding of Business Central across Finance, Inventory, Projects, Warehousing/Distribution, Manufacturing, and Reporting
• End-to-end lifecycle experience, from discovery and solution design through to executive presentations and proposal development
• Strong familiarity with the broader Microsoft stack — Azure, Power Platform, Copilot, and integration tooling — and how it extends and enhances BC solutions
• Strong commercial acumen, including RFP/RFI responses, business case development, pricing inputs, and deal shaping
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-level, translating technical concepts into business outcomes
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — able to adapt your style for both technical teams and executive decision-makers
