Job summary

Seequent, based in New Zealand, seeks a Software Engineer Intern to contribute to desktop and web applications across full stack. You’ll work under guidance, follow team processes, and gain hands-on experience from senior developers and testers in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and applying problem-solving skills to real projects while growing technical and teamwork capabilities.

Qualifications

Currently in the second or third year of a BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
Hands-on programming experience through class projects; extra coding outside class is a bonus.
Confident, clear communication and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.

Responsibilities

Contribute to design, development, testing, and release of desktop or web apps (front-end and back-end).
Collaborate with the team to develop creative solutions to problems.
Fix bugs and help design and implement new features.
Follow established team processes, patterns, and tools to deliver quality work.
Learn from experienced developers, testers and domain specialists.
Test code using unit, system, automated UI, and exploratory manual testing.
Contribute based on team, background, interests, and problems being solved.
