We are looking for a motivated and experienced Registered Social Worker to join our team delivering high quality care for patients across our maternity, Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), and paediatric wards, as well as providing support to our TOPs clinic.
This position is one of three that make up the Childrens Hub social work group and is part of a larger inpatient social work and allied health multidisciplinary team. Youll provide support and guidance to tamariki and whānau in the hospital, offering variety, challenge, and ongoing learning experiences within the maternity and paediatric field. Our ideal candidate will be a strong advocate for their patients, working in partnership with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred, equitable services for new or soon-to-be mothers and tamariki from birth to 16 years old.
Youll join the Allied Health Therapies team at Hawkes Bay Hospital, working within Te Whata Moanarua. The Childrens Hub social work group is collaborative, values-driven, and committed to holistic, whānau-centred care. With strong links to Māori health services, midwifery, nursing, and community providers, youll be part of a dynamic environment where your expertise and advocacy will help shape better outcomes for tamariki and their whānau.
