Job summary

Farmers Trading Company Ltd in Auckland is seeking a Social Media Specialist to bring our iconic brand and products to life across social channels. You’ll plan, create and deliver engaging content that resonates with customers and supports campaigns and commercial objectives.

You’ll work with the Social Media Lead and brand teams to develop content plans, manage campaigns from planning through reporting, and stay ahead of platform trends to maximise reach and engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a social media or digital content role, ideally within retail.
• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite would be an advantage, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content formats, trends and best practice.
• Experience in creating content is essential.
• Experience managing social media campaigns from planning through to delivery and reporting.
• Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and delivering social media campaigns, from planning through to execution and reporting.
• Support the development of content plans, campaign schedules and approvals across all social platforms.
• Managing timelines, community management and campaign reporting.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, agencies, influencers and content creators to deliver effective social campaigns.
• Ensuring all content aligns with Farmers’ brand guidelines and tone of voice.
• Monitor social, consumer and category trends to identify opportunities for relevant and engaging content.
• Stay informed on platform developments and emerging social media best practice.
• Use performance insights and reporting to evaluate activity and inform future content and campaigns.
