Job summary

Hawksworth in Auckland is seeking a hands-on Snowflake Data Architect/Engineer to design and implement robust data solutions for a global financial services client. You will code and shape Snowflake architecture while integrating ETL/ELT, DBT, Airflow and cloud components.

This position is hybrid, with 2–3 days on-site in Auckland; flexibility is needed to respond to client needs.

The interview process includes a recruiter call, a technical discussion, and a final session with a senior manager.

Position: Snowflake Data Architect / Engineer

Salary: $180k-$220k

Industry: Global Consultancy - Financial Services...but this is not essential

Hybrid: 2-3 days on-site

Location: Auckland

A few questions to kick-off the advert...

• Are you a hands-on Engineer who can code, as well as specialising in Snowflake?
• Do you understand how Snowflake interacts with the cloud platform ecosystem and how you can leverage the likes of ETL, CI/CD, DBT, Airflow, etc.?

We need hands-on Architects / Engineers who have a progressive mind-set, excellent problem solving, and who are not afraid to try new ways of working and who are able to look at different perspectives. Our client want you to challenge the status quo and deliver fantastic results with your team and for their clients.

Like many roles nowadays, it's hybrid, 2-3 days per week on-site, but nothing's set in stone, so if the client needs you on-site for a specific issue, then I'm hoping you'll oblige and see the importance of this, or else this probably isn't the right role for you.

It's a 3 stage interview, initial call with the internal recruiter, then a technical/skills call and then finally a call with a senior manager about why you're interested / what it is you're looking for.
