With exciting projects in the pipeline across the South Island, we are looking for an experienced Site Manager that is open to travelling weekly (Monday-Friday, home for the weekends!).

About the role:

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will effectively manage the project from conception to completion. In addition, you will:

  • Proactively manage the site including multiple trades & sub-contractors
  • Feed project progress to your PM including programme, site control, H&S & QA.
  • Maintain project documentation & support with variations
  • Ensure construction works are within programme and trades work to completion of works by due dates & contract obligations
  • Ensure quality is maintained, inspection of works & rectification work managed
  • Oversee sub-contractor inductions & all H&S site practices maintained

About you:

You will be a hands-on Site Manager that can think on their feet and collaboratively problem solve. You will have the ability to drive the construction programme whilst following best practices. In addition to this, you will have the following attributes:

  • Experience in a similar role managing a commercial construction site
  • The ability to manage multiple trades & sub-trades
  • A strong knowledge of different construction methodologies & types of builds
  • Up to date knowledge of building products & materials
  • A pro-active approach to H&S and quality management
  • Ideally exposure to Procore or Construction Management Software + MS Office suite
  • A positive, conscientious work ethic; you must be self-motivated
  • Willing to travel Mon-Fri if required
