Job summary

ADB Safegate is seeking a proactive Project Site Manager to lead airfield lighting projects across New Zealand, with a preference for Auckland-based candidates to enable close collaboration with the team.

You will manage on-site installations, uphold safety and quality, interpret drawings, liaise with stakeholders, and travel as needed to deliver reliable, compliant infrastructure that keeps airports safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of managing electrical projects (registered electrician; EWRB).
• Aviation or civil construction experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings and diagrams.
• Willingness to travel across New Zealand.

The Opportunity

Step into a pivotal role within a company entering an exciting phase of growth! As we expand our footprint in New Zealand, we are looking for a proactive and skilled Project Site Manager to take the lead on innovative airfield lighting projects across the country.

While our primary project activity is based across New Zealand, we have a strong preference for candidates based in Auckland to facilitate close collaboration with our team and support key regional operations.

In this role, you will drive progress on high-impact projects at key airport hubs while contributing to airfield transformations across regional New Zealand.

Your Role: Leading from the Front

As part of our project delivery team, you’ll be the heartbeat of operations:

Command the Field: Lead and inspire contractors and technicians through on-site execution of airfield lighting installation.

Champion Quality & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory standards, and high-quality delivery at every stage.

Be the Bridge: Maintain clear, strategic communication with stakeholders and aviation authorities to ensure seamless workflow.

Solve & Succeed: Track progress, tackle challenges, and deliver successful results that shine.

What You’ll Bring

Your expertise will elevate these projects to new heights:

Experience Matters: At least 4 years of managing electrical projects (registered electrician; EWRB). Aviation or civil construction experience? Even better!

Leadership & Technical Prowess: Confidently interpret drawings and diagrams, inspire teams, and build strong communication foundations.

Security Savvy: Ready to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (AVSEC).

Detail-Oriented & Travel-Ready: A sharp eye for detail and a willingness to travel across New Zealand as needed.
