Job summary

The Plant People is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead hard landscaping for high-end residential projects in Queenstown, Cromwell, and Wanaka. You will bring craftsmanship, precision, and pride in delivering exceptional outdoor spaces.

Key requirements include 1–2 years in hard landscaping, digger/machine operation, drainage, concrete prep, tiling, paving, timber work, and strong communication. NZ residency or a valid NZ visa is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hard landscaping experience is required.
• Digger and machine operation experience is preferred.
• Drainage installation and concrete preparation knowledge is essential.
• Experience with tiling, paving and detailed timber work is a plus.
• Excellent communication and a positive team spirit are important.

Responsibilities

• Construct timber and block retaining walls, boardwalks, bridges, decking, handrails and fencing.
• Read plans for concrete preparation with heights and falls.
• Collaborate with landscape architects to realise designs and liaise with subcontractors.
• Carry out garden enhancement, ground preparation, planting, mulching and staking.
• Support other landscaping teams and assist with grounds maintenance as needed.

We're on the hunt for an experienced Site Foreman to join our dynamic team and bring creativity, precision, and excellence to our landscaping projects across Queenstown, Cromwell, and Wanaka.

What You’ll Bring:

• 1 to 2 years of hard landscaping experience
• Ideally digger & machine experience
• Drainage experience
• Concrete preparation & placing experience
• Skills in tiling, paving, and detailed timber work
• Physically fit with a strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and team spirit
• Experience in horticulture (a bonus!)
• Full Class 1 driver's license (Class 2 and WTR endorsements are a plus)
• Excellent communication skills

What You’ll Do:
