Site Engineer - Civil Construction

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Site Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality civil construction projects in the beautiful Southern Lakes / Central Otago region. What we're looking for:
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. BE, National Diploma in Engineering, NZCE)

  • Current NZ driver's licence

  • Minimum 3 years civil engineering experience in New Zealand

  • Proven experience delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of safety and quality

  • Strong leadership and communication skills - ability to manage, motivate and relate to people at all levels

  • Contracting experience, including:

    • Project and staff management

    • Budget preparation and financial oversight

    • Contract and quality plan management

  • A self-starter with the ability to thrive under pressure and build strong client and team relationships

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage contracts and site staff efficiently and effectively

  • Deliver civil construction projects in accordance with design specifications and safety standards

  • Plan and implement safe, cost-effective construction methods

  • Minimise environmental impacts during operations

  • Ensure accurate record keeping and correct invoicing

  • Maintain quality assurance through contract-specific quality plans and required testing

  • Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion

  • Ensure all work meets customer expectations and aligns with time and cost budgets
