A relevant qualification (e.g. BE, National Diploma in Engineering, NZCE)
Current NZ driver's licence
Minimum 3 years civil engineering experience in New Zealand
Proven experience delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of safety and quality
Strong leadership and communication skills - ability to manage, motivate and relate to people at all levels
Contracting experience, including:
Project and staff management
Budget preparation and financial oversight
Contract and quality plan management
A self-starter with the ability to thrive under pressure and build strong client and team relationships
Manage contracts and site staff efficiently and effectively
Deliver civil construction projects in accordance with design specifications and safety standards
Plan and implement safe, cost-effective construction methods
Minimise environmental impacts during operations
Ensure accurate record keeping and correct invoicing
Maintain quality assurance through contract-specific quality plans and required testing
Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion
Ensure all work meets customer expectations and aligns with time and cost budgets
