About INTEC Energy Solutions

INTEC Energy Solutions is a global EPC and O&M company delivering turnkey solutions for solar power plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). With more than 3.9 GW of secured pipeline and completed projects worldwide, we are proud to be a trusted partner in the renewable energy sector. Our people are at the heart of our success, and we’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace.

The Opportunity

INTEC Energy Solutions is gearing up for its next major New Zealand project—a large-scale, landmark solar farm north of Auckland—and we’re seeking an experienced Site Construction Manager to take the lead on site.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities, leading subcontractors, driving safety and quality standards, and managing programme and budget performance. You’ll ensure smooth coordination between disciplines from construction through to commissioning and handover.

This is a high-profile, hands-on leadership role on a significant renewable energy project, offering the chance to make a tangible impact on New Zealand’s clean energy future while working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and oversee all construction activities across civil, mechanical, electrical, and HV/MV disciplines, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
  • Champion a strong HSEQ culture on site, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and INTEC’s frameworks while fostering a safe and inclusive working environment.
  • Manage subcontractors to deliver works on time, to budget, and in line with contractual obligations, while developing short-term lookahead schedules and mitigating risks.
  • Coordinate interfaces between trades and disciplines to meet energisation and commissioning milestones, while acting as the primary on-site contact for clients, landowners, iwi, and community stakeholders.
  • Support the transition from construction to commissioning, ensuring QA/QC documentation, records, and handover requirements are fully met for project completion.
What You’ll Bring
  • Qualification in Construction Management or a relevant trade background.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading large-scale construction projects (solar, infrastructure, civil, or energy).
  • Strong knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, and HV/MV construction, plus NZ standards and legislation.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and deliver projects safely, on time, and to budget.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with renewable energy experience highly regarded.
Why Join INTEC?
  • Lead construction on one of New Zealand’s largest and most impactful renewable energy projects.
  • Play a key role in delivering clean energy infrastructure that directly supports New Zealand’s energy transition.
  • Work alongside experienced industry professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.

If you’re an experienced Site Construction Manager who enjoys leading complex projects and building strong relationships, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and be part of INTEC’s mission to deliver a more sustainable future in New Zealand.
