Responsibilities

• Follow agreed pick-up and drop-off locations.
• Ensure workers arrive safely and on time.
• Complete basic vehicle checks and report any vehicle issues.
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle.
• Follow all road safety, passenger transport and company requirements.
• Communicate professionally with workers and site personnel.

About the Role

Unite Recruit is looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver with a current P Endorsement to assist with transporting workers around Picton.

The role involves escorting workers between designated car parks and different work sites. You will be contacted by phone when transport is required and will then collect and transport workers safely to and from the required locations.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable driver looking for rostered part-time work with set availability periods.

Rostered Hours

We are looking for drivers to cover one of the following rosters:

Morning Roster: 6:00am – 12:00pm

Afternoon Roster: 12:00pm – 7:00pm

During your rostered hours, you will need to be available by phone and ready to respond when transport is required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Transport workers between designated car parks and work sites
• Collect workers when requested and transport them safely to the required location
• Return workers from work sites back to designated car parks
• Respond promptly to phone calls when transport is required
• Follow agreed pick-up and drop-off locations
• Ensure workers arrive safely and on time

What We Need

The successful candidate will have:

• A current NZ Class 1 Driver Licence
• A current P Endorsement

• Previous passenger or worker transport experience is preferred

• Ability to respond to phone calls and transport requests during rostered hours
• Good punctuality and time management
• A strong commitment to passenger safety
• Ability to work independently

This role would suit someone who is reliable, flexible and safety-conscious. You will need to be comfortable working independently, answering calls when workers require transport and making sure everyone gets to and from their work site safely and on time.

Additional information

• $28.00 per hour
• Must have Full Class 1 & P endorsement
