Une organisation éducative dynamique à Katikati recherche un éducateur passionné pour rejoindre son équipe. Le rôle consiste à soutenir les tamariki et leurs familles, en guidant les activités d'apprentissage basées sur le jeu. Les candidats doivent posséder des qualifications en éducation de la petite enfance et une passion pour le travail communautaire.

Qualifications

  • Diplôme d'éducateur de niveau 4 ou supérieur requis.
  • Certificat de premiers secours actuel ou volonté de l'obtenir.
  • Expérience enrichissante en ambiances enfants/adultes.

Responsibilities

  • Soutenir l'apprentissage des tamariki par des jeux dirigés.
  • Encourager l'utilisation de Te Reo Māori parmi les familles.
  • Aider à l'ouverture des sessions et guider les activités.

Job description

We’re seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents, and whānau in facilitating child-led play.

You will work alongside our centre whānau to open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki, while role modelling child-led play and positive guidance.

To support whānau in the use of Te Reo Māori, encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whānau.

We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/whānau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.

Start date: 5 August 2025 - Can be negotiated for the right person

Days & hours:

2 days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, 8.45am–12.30pm, 7.5 hours per week (during term time only).

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher, or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.

  • A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.
  • Passion for empowering and engaging with all whānau to feel a sense of belonging during our sessions.
  • Knowledge of ECE regulations.
  • Ability to use technology.
