Qualifications

  • Holds a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher.
  • Possesses a current First Aid Certificate or is willing to obtain one.
  • Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

  • Support planning and assessment, and promote Playcentre education programme.

Bucklands Beach Ohui-a-rangi Playcentre Auckland

Position: Session Facilitator (Part-time, Permanent, up to 0.1 FTE)

Playcentre Aotearoa is a well-known and respected Early Childhood organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to lead their children’s learning through play. We operate over 400 Playcentres nationwide.

Bucklands Beach Ohui-a-rangi Playcentre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic session facilitator to join our vibrant community. You will work alongside members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning through child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment, and promote the Playcentre education programme. As a leader, you will model Playcentre philosophy and good practice, encouraging whānau to build confidence and participate actively.

Start date: 14 July 2025

Days & hours: Mondays 9am–12pm. This is a permanent position during school term time only.

Ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher, or an Early Childhood qualification at Level 4 or higher.
  • Possesses a current First Aid Certificate or is willing to obtain one.
