PeopleNZ Limited is seeking a Senior Wealth Planning Analyst / Senior Paraplanner to join our boutique firm in Petone, Lower Hutt. You will help develop modelling, analysis and written financial plans underpinning client advice for high net worth individuals and business owners.
You will partner with an experienced adviser, deliver comprehensive cashflow and scenario analyses, and contribute to bespoke financial plans with precision and clarity. Local candidates preferred.
We are an established boutique wealth advisory firm working with successful individuals, families and business owners. Our clients often have complex financial circumstances requiring highly personalised advice across investments, property, retirement, cashflow, tax considerations, estate planning and insurance.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner / Wealth Planning Analyst to join our growing team in Petone.
Working closely with the Senior Adviser/Owner, you will play an important part in developing the modelling, analysis and written financial plans that underpin our client advice.
Ideally, you will already be an experienced Paraplanner, Senior Paraplanner or Adviser Associate with exposure to holistic wealth-planning.
We may also consider an exceptional candidate from financial analysis, investment analysis, accounting or another professional background combining strong numerical capability with high-quality written reporting.
You will be a strong professional writer, confident with Excel and financial modelling, highly accurate and comfortable working with complex financial information.
Experience with cashflow modelling, success modelling or Monte Carlo analysis would be a real advantage.
This is not a high-volume, template-driven paraplanning role.
You will work on interesting and varied client situations where you can take the time to understand a client's goals, model different financial futures and help create a genuinely personalised financial plan.
You will work directly with experienced advisers in a small team where your contribution will be visible and valued, with the opportunity for your responsibilities to grow as the firm develops.
Importantly, we continue to place significant value on human judgement, detailed analysis and high-quality professional writing for our more complex clients.
Build cashflow forecasts, financial models and alternative client scenarios.
Develop the technical content of complex, personalised financial plans.
Analyse investments, assets, liabilities, retirement outcomes, risk and future financial requirements.
Work closely with the Senior Adviser/Owner to ensure modelling supports the client's goals and agreed risk tolerance.
Review the accuracy and quality of work produced by a junior offshore paraplanner.
Two capabilities are particularly important: excellent professional written English and strong Excel and financial-modelling skills.
You will be analytical, accurate and naturally interested in understanding how the different parts of a client's financial life fit together.
The role is based in Petone, Lower Hutt, and someone already living locally or within easy commuting distance would be an advantage.
