Senior Three Waters Engineer - Christchurch | Three Waters | Consulting Engineering

Ready for more ownership of your projects without getting buried under layers of management?

We're looking for an experienced Three Waters Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy in Christchurch.

They need another experienced engineer who can come in, take ownership of projects and become an important part of the team.

The work: This is a hands-on engineering role rather than a pure management position.

You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, working on a mixture of water supply, wastewater, stormwater and development infrastructure projects.

Depending on your background, this could see you working across:

• Three Waters network design and infrastructure planning
• Stormwater management and drainage design
• Water and wastewater reticulation
• Pump stations and associated infrastructure
• Hydraulic analysis and modelling
• Design reports, engineering assessments and documentation
• Construction monitoring and project delivery
• Client, contractor and council liaison
• Technical guidance and mentoring of other engineers

You'll have the freedom to run your own projects while still having experienced people around you when you need them.

Who would suit this? We're not getting hung up on job titles.

You might already be a Technical Lead, or you could be a Senior Water / Civil Engineer with 5-10+ years experience who feels you've reached the point where you're ready for more responsibility.

You'll ideally have a good grounding in Three Waters design within a consulting environment, along with experience delivering projects in New Zealand.

Experience with hydraulic modelling packages such as PCSWMM, EPANET, HEC-HMS, SSA or similar would be useful, as would CPEng or progress towards Chartership.

Just as importantly, you'll be someone who can talk comfortably with clients, councils and contractors, make sound engineering decisions and get projects delivered.
