The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to enhance its digital data tools. This full-time permanent role is based in Wellington and involves developing web-based solutions using technologies such as Microsoft PowerApps and SharePoint. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, be familiar with web technologies, and will play a vital role in improving information management across the Ministry.

As a Senior Technical Advisor in our Digital Data Tools team, you will work with the business to get the best use out of digital tools to collect and access information. The Digital Data Tools area covers a wide range of the technical aspects of such tools, including building tools within Power Platform and SharePoint Online in the Office 365 ecosystem, web analytics, domain zone files, and website accessibility. This role sits within the Corporate and Digital Shared Services branch which is responsible for strengthening MBIE’s core data and insights, digital and technology capabilities to allow MBIE teams to succeed in their goal to build a productive and competitive economy.
You will be responsible for building, testing and maintaining digital solutions according to best practice and government requirements.
