Overview

We are seeking a collaborative and talented teacher who is passionate, creative, committed, and self-driven to join our senior school team (Y7–8) in 2026. This is a fixed-term maternity leave position, running for the 2026 school year. You’ll be working with engaged, respectful students, supportive colleagues, and a warm, connected school community in the heart of beautiful Central Otago. Our school vision, Love – Learn – Grow, underpins all that we do.

We’re looking for someone who:

Responsibilities
  • Builds strong relationships with ākonga, whānau, and colleagues
  • Brings energy, joy and enthusiasm to working with intermediate-aged students
  • Has experience with or is willing to teach Structured Literacy using the iDeaL platform
  • Is confident teaching a balanced maths programme, ideally with experience in the PRIME Maths programme or the learner first
  • Embraces cultural diversity and creates inclusive, engaging learning environments
Qualifications
  • NZ-registered teachers and legally entitled to work in New Zealand
  • Not open to applicants requiring visa sponsorship
  • The successful applicant will accept the condition to support, uphold, and be positively involved in the special character of the school; this shall be a condition of employment.
