Job summary

New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) invites a Principal Systems Engineer to lead engineering across our technology platforms. You will shape design, drive secure, scalable services, and guide decision‑making in cloud and on‑prem environments.

In this hands‑on yet strategic role, you’ll mentor engineers, influence technology roadmaps, and foster Agile and DevOps practices to improve service reliability and delivery across NZTA’s digital services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on engineering with strategic influence.
• Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public service.
