Job summary

KidsCan seeks a Senior Systems Accountant to join the finance team at our Albany head office. The role is the finance SME for NetSuite, driving automation, reporting enhancements and ongoing system optimisation across finance operations.

You will partner with finance leadership to deliver dashboards, models and insights, while supporting month-end, GST, audits and continuous improvement in a meaningful New Zealand charity environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting or finance qualifications; CA/CPA advantageous but not essential.
• Strong ERP systems experience, ideally NetSuite.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience with system administration, workflow configuration and reporting.
• Knowledge of financial operations, month-end processes and reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset with passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Act as Finance SME for NetSuite.
• Understand end-to-end processes across finance, inventory, CRM, reporting, fixed assets, budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage finance-related system configurations, workflows and master data.
• Support ERP optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop dashboards, reports, financial models and business insights.
• Provide system support, training and guidance to users.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
• Support month-end reporting and financial operations.
• Assist with annual financial statements, GST returns and audits.
• Leverage Power BI, Excel and reporting tools to improve decision-making.
• Partner with finance leadership to drive transformation initiatives.
