Senior Structural Engineer, Waihōpai Invercargill

The Southland Region continues to have strong engineering opportunities and is leading New Zealand’s economic recovery. The Waihōpai Invercargill team have a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable Senior Structural Engineer to support our local Buildings and Civil Structures team in the technical development of local industrial and infrastructure projects.

As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of projects, from planning through to design/design management and delivery. Ideally, you’ll have a broad background including exposure to infrastructure and industrial projects, however we are open to speaking with engineers who have specialised in multiple areas. There are opportunities to progress your career with your technical expertise feeding into the design management of multi-disciplinary projects with the technical support of others, from within the Invercargill team, and more widely through our national and global WSP network.

About you
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Preferably a minimum of 8 years’ professional experience
  • Experience working on projects in New Zealand/Aotearoa advantageous.
  • Achieved or actively working toward Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng) status or equivalent.
  • Current, clean drivers license.
