We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Christchurch. If you're an experienced engineer ready for the next step with a passion for mentoring, managing projects, and delivering client-focused solutions, this could be the ideal role for you.

About the role

As a Senior Engineer, you'll oversee project allocation and delivery, ensuring the quality and timeliness of our structural engineering solutions.

Your work will involve a variety of residential projects, from bespoke architectural homes to complex structural alterations. You will also:

• Lead project planning, proposals, preliminary and detailed designs.
• Supervise on-site investigations, monitor progress, and ensure timely reporting.
• Foster strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.
• Collaborate with our Structural Manager to enhance our Specifi platform's capabilities and client offerings.

About you

• Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• CPEng is an advantage or working towards chartership.
• Professional engineering experience in NZ, with good residential design and proven seismic experience to NZ Codes, along with strong technical knowledge.
• Experience in managing structural engineering projects and leading technical teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills.
• A passion for mentoring, team development, and delivering client success.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
