About The Role

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Contributing to the improved understanding and management of stormwater in Aotearoa New Zealand through collaboration with clients, communities, and internal teams.
  • Supporting projects related to resilience, adaptation, and climate change response.
  • Taking a hands-on technical role in the delivery of stormwater strategy, planning, and design—from catchment management to water-sensitive urban design (WSUD).
  • Contributing to the delivery of innovative stormwater infrastructure, including nature-based solutions.
  • Working alongside a wide range of stakeholders including mana whenua, clients, planners, engineers, and scientists.
  • Supporting the development of junior staff through mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Engaging with our national and global stormwater network to share knowledge and apply best practices.
  • Continuously developing your own technical and professional capabilities.
What You Will Bring

You will have a solid foundation in stormwater engineering, with a proven track record delivering successful projects in a multidisciplinary environment. You are organised, proactive, and thrive in a team setting.

Ideally, You Will Have
  • A tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Significant professional experience in stormwater design and/or management.
  • Proficiency with relevant stormwater modelling and design software.
  • The ability to contribute to project delivery and support project managers.
  • Strong communication skills for working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • A growth mindset and drive to achieve better outcomes for people and the environment.
