Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking an experienced Specialist Sports Turf Advisor to lead the design and delivery of turf construction projects across sports fields and golf environments in New Zealand. The role focuses on underground infrastructure, drainage, irrigation, and turf profile construction, working with clients, consultants, and contractors.

You will guide project planning from concept to completion, ensure high-quality, sustainable turf solutions, and mentor a team while supporting tender

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sports turf and/or golf course construction.
• Strong practical knowledge of underground turf systems, drainage, irrigation, and construction methodologies.
• Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications in Turf Management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of sports turf and golf construction projects.
• Provide technical expertise on underground turf construction systems including drainage and irrigation.
• Develop project plans, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Manage project delivery, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
• Conduct site assessments and provide practical, buildable design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety, and environmental requirements.
• Mentor and support team capability within turf construction and design.
• Support operations for tender, pricing and additional information as required.
