Job summary

Green by Nature NZ is seeking a hands-on Sports Turf Specialist to maintain pitches and grounds across the Queenstown region. You will manage mowing, line marking and assist with turf renovations while ensuring high-quality playing surfaces for tennis, bowls, cricket and croquet.

Ideal candidates bring passion for sports turf, self-motivation, and a Level 4 turf qualification or demonstrable turf experience, plus a NZ driver's license (class 2 is a plus).

Qualifications

• Level 4 turf qualification or demonstrable turf experience.
• Full, clean NZ driver's license; class 2 beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Grow-in, renovations and irrigation systems of new and current sport fields.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to exceed project objectives and create exceptional outdoor spaces for players and spectators.
• Operate and maintain mowers, tractors and other turf-related equipment.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills to meet tight deadlines with your team.

We are currently seeking a dynamic Sports Turf Specialist to join our team and take charge of maintaining pitches and grounds across the beautiful Queenstown Region.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on industry professional who understands that great turf performance starts below the surface.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Sports Turf Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring top-notch maintenance and preparation of playing surfaces including Tennis, Bowls, Cricket, Croquette. It will include mowing, line marking and assist with renovations within turf projects space.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Leveraging your extensive knowledge of sports turf, with a particular emphasis on grow-in, renovations and irrigation systems of new and current sport fields
• Collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to exceed project objectives and create remarkable outdoor spaces for both players and spectators
• Utilising your mechanical expertise to operate and maintain mowers, tractors, and other turf-related equipment
• Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills to work with your team to meet tight deadlines

What we are looking for

• A strong knowledge and passion for sports turf
• Someone who is motivated and self-driven with energy to burn
• Ideally a level 4 turf qualification or demonstrable experience in the preparation and maintenance of a variety of playing turf
• A full, clean NZ driver's license is essential - class 2 will be beneficial!
