About the role:

Join a collaborative and forward-thinking team as a Senior Solicitor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in Newmarket, this role offers flexibility with part-time or full-time options available.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you'll provide strategic legal advice across a diverse range of matters including property, commercial, employment, construction, and health & safety law. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated solicitor looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear, practical legal advice across multiple areas
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of legal agreements
  • Support the property team with land acquisition and disposal processes
  • Ensure company policies and governance frameworks remain compliant and up to date
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage risk and contribute to project success

About you:

  • 3-7 years PQE, with experience in property, commercial, or contract law
  • A law degree and eligibility to hold a current New Zealand practising certificate
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Confident in providing strategic legal advice and navigating complex issues
  • A collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
