Job summary

Talent is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst in Auckland CBD for a hybrid, permanent role. You will take the technical lead on high-severity incidents, guide analysts and influence detection, investigation and response strategies.

You will own complex incidents from containment to remediation, perform proactive threat hunting and help strengthen SOC workflows and playbooks while coordinating with technical teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in Security Operations Centres or equivalent.
• Experience leading from the front during high-severity incidents.
• Proven ability to mentor others and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and resolution of high-severity security incidents.
• Act as technical escalation point for SOC analysts.
• Perform proactive threat hunting and identify emerging risks.
• Analyse network activity, alerts and security events.
• Use SIEM/EDR/XDR to investigate and respond to threats.
• Support development and improvement of SOAR processes and playbooks.
• Mentor analysts and share knowledge.
