Job description

We're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Plexure team in this newly created role! Become part of a global, growing SaaS company at an exciting point in our growth journey.

What will you do?

• Join our SRE squad, where you’ll help automate, operate, and scale our systems while enabling high change velocity and system reliability.
  Your team is responsible for:
• Provisioning and configuring shared infrastructure.
  
• Capacity planning, monitoring, and support.
  
• Building and enhancing infrastructure tooling and templates.
  
• Supporting domain teams in adopting and using infrastructure tooling effectively.
• Reporting to the SRE Team Lead, you'll work collaboratively alongside your squad to achieve a shared mission: creating a platform and culture that empowers domain teams to deliver products quickly, safely and at scale.
• Your day-to-day work will involve:
• Developing, maintaining, and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Platform monitoring, alerting, provisioning, and configuration.
• Enabling teams to interface seamlessly with the platform.
• Identifying and driving improvements.
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
• Some project work we have on the horizon includes a potential pipeline migration, optimizing observability, uplifting our monitoring solution and enhanced automation for our IaC tools.
• Our tech stack: Azure,Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Docker, PowerShell, New Relic.

What are we looking for?

• Strong experience working in Azure environments, including Azure DevOps, pipelines, and APIs.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Bicep (but experience with similar tools like Terraform is great too).
• The ability to write shell scripts in any language.
• A passion for mentoring and coaching other engineers.
• A collaborative mindset and desire to work with good humans in an environment focused on innovation.
