Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Auckland is seeking an experienced Nurse or Allied Health Clinician to lead the NASC team as Lead Service Coordinator. The role blends clinical practice with senior leadership, directing a multi-professional service coordinating adults with long-term conditions.

You will mentor staff, oversee workload and caseload distribution, ensure quality improvement and professional development, and model advanced practice within a supportive community health environment.

Qualifications

• NZ registered health professional with current annual practising certificate.
• InterRAI Home Care assessment trained.
• Willing to provide leadership for a multi-professional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff orientation, 1:1s, supervision, performance reviews and coaching.
• Oversee operations: caseload distribution, triage, workforce planning and leave management.
• Maintain clinical expertise by carrying a small, complex caseload and modelling advanced practice.
• Drive quality improvement: audits, service reviews, guidelines and incident reviews.
• Grow people and workforce: professional development, mentoring and student placements.
