Job summary

New Zealand Government seeks a Property Partner to lead senior relationships with schools and coordinate complex property responses, from daily matters to major capital investments.

You will build trusted partnerships with school leaders, understand priorities, and align maintenance, renewal, upgrade and capital works to deliver tangible school outcomes, while communicating project risks and funding opportunities.

Qualifications

• Senior relationship leadership experience in a property/infrastructure context.
• Experience influencing outcomes and navigating complex environments through collaboration and partnership.
• Experience in property, infrastructure, construction, asset management, or project delivery environments.
• Strong commercial, strategic, and problem-solving capability, balancing priorities and managing risk.
• Commitment to understanding school needs and delivering practical, customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the relationship and coordinated property response for assigned schools.
• Maintain an integrated view across maintenance, renewal, upgrade, and capital works programmes, coordinating stakeholders and activities to support planning, prioritisation, and successful outcomes.
• Bring together planning, investment, procurement, delivery and technical expertise to provide a clear, coordinated response for schools.
• Provide clear and timely information on projects, risks, funding, and investment opportunities.
• Maintain visibility of programme progress, risks, and issues, and connect stakeholders to resolve them.
