Job summary

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking a senior operations leader to provide strategic and operational oversight across two AUT Schools within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences. You will lead financial, administrative, people and operational functions to support academic objectives.

You will drive budget management, workforce planning and digital transformation, working across the School, Faculty and wider University to deliver impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification and significant experience in operations management within a medium to large organisation.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting and resource planning.
• Strong people leadership, organisational and administrative skills, with experience managing complex HR processes.
• Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills across diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across two AUT Schools within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences.
• Lead financial, people and resource management to ensure planning, compliance and delivery.
• Drive operational improvement, including process improvements and digital transformation.
• Oversee budget management, workforce planning, facilities and resource management.
• Collaborate across the School, Faculty and University with People and Culture, Finance and ICT.
