Datacom is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant - Salesforce to provide technical leadership across Salesforce delivery, design, integration, and governance from our Wellington team.

You will work with customers, project teams and stakeholders to architect scalable solutions, mentor teammates, and ensure security, performance and alignment with business goals while driving digital transformation across complex environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Salesforce consulting, development, or technical delivery experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and platform capabilities.
• Experience delivering complex Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
• Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Salesforce integrations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, configuration, testing, and deployment of Salesforce solutions across complex customer environments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across Salesforce platform capabilities, custom development, integrations, and automation.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Producing technical designs, architecture recommendations, and implementation plans aligned with best practice.
• Designing and delivering integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using APIs and integration platforms.
• Supporting operational excellence through platform optimisation, performance tuning, and ongoing enhancements.
• Contributing to solution governance, technical standards, and future Salesforce platform roadmaps.
• Providing expert advice on Salesforce capabilities, emerging technologies, and innovation opportunities.
• Mentoring team members and supporting the resolution of complex technical challenges.
• Promoting security, compliance, data integrity, and platform governance best practices.
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
