BTW Company specialises in engineering, surveying and environmental planning. We are seeking a Senior Roading Engineer to shape and deliver practical roading and transport solutions for local government and private clients in Hamilton.

You will lead projects from scoping through to detailed design, production of construction drawings, and documentation, enabling compliant and buildable outputs that meet NZ standards. Site visits and close coordination ensure high‑quality, delivered outcomes.

Competenze

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or higher education.
• 10+ years’ road asset management experience.
• 5+ years applying regulatory frameworks in NZ or Australia.
• Excellent communication, autonomy, analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Full NZ Drivers Licence – Class 1.
• This is a senior role.

Mansioni

• Lead roading design projects from early scoping and investigations through to detailed design and construction documentation.
• Oversee and guide design outputs working with BTW designers.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and estimates, ensuring designs are practical, buildable, and fit-for-purpose.
• Ground-truth designs through site visits, stakeholder engagement, and close coordination with contractors and project teams.
• Provide senior technical support through procurement and construction, including design clarifications and issue resolution to keep delivery on track.
