Role

As a Senior Risk Manager, you will partner with people leaders across the University to provide expert risk advice, analysis, and internal consulting. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain a robust operational risk framework, ensuring consistent oversight and accountability. You will establish and lead a risk assessment committee, using it as a forum to guide decision-making, escalate issues, and share key insights. Through your leadership and activities, you will also drive a culture of risk awareness across the organisation.

You will be used to operating as a trusted advisor in a risk environment and bring with you:

  • Experience in large complex organisations managing varying risks
  • A strong understanding of risk management methodology and the application of risk management techniques
  • The ability to share information in a way that is easily understood
  • The ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Salary Range: $130k - $150k (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
